This includes the original set-up of all process parameters, troubleshooting the molding process and the repair and maintenance of the molding presses. Must also program and troubleshoot robotic equipment that is supporting the molding process. Assist mold engineering in new product releases and work with other team members as necessary in supporting production and training requirements. Responsibilities & Qualifications: RESPONSIBILITIES * Establishes new process parameters for mold start-ups and provides input to engineering. * Set-up cameras and troubleshoot vision systems. * Start-up and process molds with crticial/difficult start up procedures. * Perform mold changeovers – this includes pulling and hanging molds, plumbing molds for correct water flow, inputting process parameters to guarantee product to Quality Inspection Plan and ensures product is being produced at a specified rate. * Verification of process parameters per the IPCS (Internal Process Control Sheet). * Answers alarms and troubleshoots auxiliary molding press equipment (this includes metal detectors, hoppers, loaders, blenders, vision systems and thermolators). * Perform special projects as required by engineering. * Provide instruction/training to other team members. * Visually inspects molded product and gages product per the Quality Inspection Plan and mold book. * Packages completed product per the packing process sheet – this includes weigh counting, filling totes/boxes and labeling product to ensure count accuracy when necessary. * Complete required paperwork to report production, scrap, press downtime, problems and issues related to the presses (die repair log), service requests for molds and molding presses and labor reporting. * General housekeeping of work area. * Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies. * Follows safety guidelines. * Other duties as assigned.
