The Opportunity The Forecast Analyst has direct responsibility for developing the sales forecast that drives the purchase order plan, build plan, and financial plan of the company. Primary Responsibilities • Work with Sales to determine best fit forecast to meet customer requirements. • Have thorough working knowledge of forecasting software, forecasting algorithms, MRP/DRP, and Master Scheduling. • Use statistical methods and other forecasting techniques to recognize and determine seasonal trends, changes in retail trends, and growth trends in the market. • Analyze history by product, customer, and category and make corresponding profile curves. Utilize profile curves as an application to predict new product outcomes and forecast needed safety stock and inventory levels. • From history and current market trends have an intuitive feel for the customer base and the product.
