Lead Analyst Microstrategy Reporting - Business Data Analyst - BI Teradata in Englewood CO

Unison Systems is looking for a "Lead Reporting Analyst". The Lead Reporting Analyst is responsible for the discovery and documentation of requirements, design and implementation of Business Intelligence/Analytics delivery initiatives. This includes the participating in the design and development of the MicroStrategy metadata layer, as well as the development of reports, documents, and NarrowCast publications within the MicroStrategy framework. Additionally, the incumbent participates in data warehouse and ETL design and implementation. Primary Responsibilities: - Part of the team responsible for architecting reporting framework. - Leads report development efforts across technical teams. - Works with business users to document analytic requirements and translate into technical solutions. - Works with IS Architects to identify data issues and develop reporting metadata schemas. - Assists in ETL optimization, and support. - Coordinates with Project Managers and participates in project planning. - Builds reports and dashboards to support analytic requirements using MicroStrategy and portal tool sets. - Works with business partners to review prototypes and develop iterative revisions. - Leads coordination of the QA test process and migration of objects through the change control process. - Performs troubleshooting and provides resolutions to reporting issues. - Assists in establishing and refining standards for enterprise reporting. Minimum Requirements Professional Qualifications - Significant hands-on experience with MicroStrategy BI Suite including 8.x or 9.x experience. - Experience with NarrowCast a strong plus. - Experience with reporting and analytics development on multiple full life-cycle Data Warehouse implementations. - Familiar with design of data warehouse data architecture techniques (ODS, EDW, DM, ROLAP, MOLAP). - 7+ years experience in reporting, data warehousing, and data management. - Experience in data modeling; logical, physical and dimensional modeling (experience in retail sector is desirable). - Strong SQL programming and performance tuning skills in a Teradata 13 environment. - Current knowledge of the data warehouse market; vendors, best practices, and standards bodies. - Experience with and Enterprise ETL tool such as Informatica a plus. - Experience with enterprise portal technologies a plus (Java programming experience a plus). - Experience working on project teams utilizing Agile principles, practices and methodologies. - Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a teamwork-oriented environment. - Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be both directive and collaborative. - A minimum of a Bachelors degree or comparable job-related experience is required.
