Kohler Co., a world class manufacturer of exceptional engines, power generation systems, kitchen and bath products, distinguished furniture, and renowned for luxurious hospitality business is currently seeking an experienced Sr Process Engineer for our Hattiesburg, MS, Engines facility. Under the direction of Engineering Manager, this position is responsible to process new parts, program CNC machines, analyze capacity, assist production supervision with day-to-day manufacturing problems and help coordinated the efforts of other departments, especially Design Engineering, Quality Control, and Maintenance to produce high quality products competitively. Specific responsibiilities include: Troubleshoot Engine production problems by investigateing and coordinating the efforts of Production, Inspection, and Maintenance supervision until problem is resolved. Analyze present manufacturing sequence of operations and suggesting/implementing changes in method, machines or machine layout to reduce cost and/or improve product flow to assure maximum quantity and quality from production equipment. Act as liaison between Design Engineering and production. Suggest changes in product design that would simplify manufacturing methods and/or reduce costs. Conduct existing equipment and process capability studies, in turn, setting up control charts for critical operations to verify 100% conformance to meeting quality requirement. Analyze and coordinate Engineering changes and new part design releases to production. Request engineering changes to our existing product line components for process manufactured building. Assist in the vendor selection process, request for quotation preparation, purchase order preparation and performance criteria development for equipment and tooling procurements. Program CNC machines including tooling/fixture specification and procurement, as required, in the assigned area responsibility. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: College degree with emphasis in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology, plus some practical engineering experience in manufacturing.
