This position will be First shift 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the physical planning, scheduling and installation of new computer hardware, network equipment and environmental resources. · Create documentation to be used in planning installation/upgrades of systems. · Communicate with vendors and other groups to determine needs. · Ensures accurate placement of equipment on the raised floor. · Ensure power requirements are identified and are in place. · Pack and unpack equipment. · Interface with Network Engineers to ensure network is installed in a timely manner. Under the direction of problem and/or change management records, attach and/or disconnect cables to and from computer and network equipment. · Document and get all work approved via Remedy. · Ensure cable requirements are met for installation of new or relocated equipment. · Ensure cables are installed in a neat and orderly fashion. · Ensure cables are installed in a timely manner within the change window. · Connect/disconnect computer hardware, including labeling, laying and securing cables.
