We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist in Lawrence, PA. This is temporary to hire position, paying $12 to $18 per hour based on experience. Candidates with some type of machining experience are strongly encouraged to apply! The CNC Machinist will program, set-up and operate CNC milling machines to modify aluminum and steel sheet metal fabrications to meet engineering specifications. Program, set-up and operate Haas CNC machining centers Design, source and build pneumatic and/or hydraulic fixturing to maximize part throughput and minimize changeover time between jobs. Verify conformance of work using precision measuring instruments. May direct the work of CNC machine operators Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency with g-codes and programming Fanuc language Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and sketches Knowledge of machinability of materials (steel, aluminum, plastic) Proficiency in shop mathematics Ability to effectively communicate with production and engineering teams, both verbal and written Ability to work within close tolerances Ability to work under lead time constraints in a fast-paced environment Minimum Qualifications: Five years of demonstrated CNC programming experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment High School Diploma or equivalent Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
