EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors to determine material priorities and to identify overdue materials and track. Inform other departments of material status. 2. Requisition material and prepare purchase orders to establish sequential delivery dates, according to job order priorities and material availability. 3. Maintain open purchase order files. 4. Compute amount of material required to meet production schedules. 5. Communicate with vendors about order deliveries 6. Compile and maintain manual and computerized records such as material inventory for in house measurements; inventory for customers of consigned material; cycle counts and inventory adjustments. 7.
