They are currently in need of a Supervisor, Financial Reporting who will be responsible for preparing and conducting detail reviews of financial reports prepared for shareholders, regulators and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Job Duties: • Responsible for drafting both non-financial and financial sections of SEC reports (e.g. management's discussion, footnotes) and Earnings Releases. • Responsible for leading the research of accounting issues and development of company policy on GAAP, FASB standards and compliance with SEC accounting rules and regulations. • Responsible for internal financial analysis, including return on investment studies, variation analysis, cash statements, due diligence on financial statements, special financial packages for the Board of Director meetings, segment report analysis, financial statement footnotes and accounting research. • Participates in the formulation, determination and execution of management policies for the unit including Finance and Accounting policy. • Establishes and continuously improves report preparation systems, policies and processes. • Establishes a rapport with key contacts in other departments to facilitate the timely and accurate flow of information to enable disclosure requirements to be met. • Stays abreast of all changes and activities in the Company and the industry in order to insure that their effects are properly incorporated into the output of the unit. • Serves as the liaison for the Company's external audit reviews. Participates in the formulation of the strategic direction and annual operating plans for the Financial Reporting Department. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business plus 7 years of relevant work experience with a minimum of 2 years working with SEC reporting.
