PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Define technical solutions for individual opportunities using existing ACS products, COTS components, and partner offerings Provide internal communications and IT support on proposed technical solutions Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to business, operations and technology teams on technology topics Define and oversee IT architecture framework proposed for individual opportunities Provide client-facing support of sales and product development process, including definition and communication of technology solution and validation of supporting financial models Enforce architecture and security standards in solutions developed for and described in proposals Demonstrate expertise in multiple areas of technology (network, hardware, software, security, data architecture, component-based architecture, application and web architectures, content management) providing a one-stop technical architecture resource for project opportunities. Act as an internal consultant in an area of technical specialty leveraging knowledge and skills across multiple technology offerings and multiple opportunities Advise internal organizations on implementation options and impact from a technical and business perspective. Job Summary Under technical direction, responsible for underwriting risks in a book of Private Company and not for profit D & O and EPLI business. Works within specific limits of authority on assignments requiring significant technical complexity and coordination. Utilizes underwriting policies and guidelines, rating manual rules and insurance laws and regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Reviews applications and financial requirements for risks requiring complex underwriting skills. Determines acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards. Also, determines the need for additional evidence of insurability and appropriate strategy. 2. Determines appropriate pricing based on financial and competitive analysis in line with compliance requirements. 3. Prepares quotes and answers questions from agencies, policyholders or other external contacts and escalates issues to management as necessary.
